At Mackay Northern Beaches State High School, learning is central to everything we do, with high expectations and a commitment to academic excellence. Our dedicated teaching team focuses on ensuring positive strong relationships exist to maximize student engagement and therefore ensure that students reach their potential.
Year 10 students have a mandated study of English, Mathematics, Science and History. Students select from a range of electives following a parent evening in Term 3.
Students in the senior phase of learning will work towards achieving a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). Year 11 and Year 12 students will study an English and a Mathematics subject. Students must study six subjects or the equivalent.
Opportunities may be available for students to be involved in University subjects, TAFE studies, traineeships and apprenticeships.
