Prior to enrolling at Mackay Northern Beaches State High School, please consult our Enrolment Management Plan on the department's website to ensure that your student resides within our designated catchment area.

Please contact the office to book an appointment.

Step 1

If you believe your student resides within our catchment zone, please complete the Proof of Residency Form (located at beginning of Enrolment Pack document below). Return the Proof of Residency form to the school with copies of the documents which prove your residence (home) is within our catchment.

Documents can be:

  • dropped into the office (8.00am to 3.30pm each school day)
  • mailed (PO Box 430, Rural View Q 4740) or
  • emailed to enrolments@macknorthbeachesshs.eq.edu.au (scanned copies or a photograph of them is adequate).

Step 2

Once you have confirmed your residential address is within our catchment zone, you are able to complete the enrolment pack (PDF, 5.85 MB). Please complete all pages within the enrolment pack and return said signed documents to the school.

Note: When enrolling, it is a requirement to provide a copy of a birth certificate if one has not previously been sighted by a Qld state school.

Step 3

Complete the Student Resource Scheme Participation Agreement (SRS) if you would like to be part of this scheme. Alternatively you would be supplying all textbooks and resources for your student to use whilst at school. A full explanation is in the SRS Booklet below.

Both the Enrolment Package and SRS form should be returned to the school as soon as possible so an enrolment interview can be arranged prior to your child commencing school.

For those enrolling a Year 6 student for the following year:

  • Proof of Residency forms need to be supplied as soon as possible so an enrolment package can be given to you.
  • Enrolment packages should be returned by the end of August prior to the year they are starting Year 7.

We will then contact you early Term 4 with details regarding enrolment interviews in early November. This contact is likely to be by email, so please ensure we have an up-to-date email address.

Also follow us on Facebook as this is a key method of communication with our community.
